What live was like....

What was life like in the Middle Ages for Innkeepers?  AskWiki says"There were very few inns in this time and if a person travelled they often stayed at a monastery where there was safety. An innkeeper would have taken care of the guests and inn if they had existed."  Times have not changed much....we do that today at our Placerville B&B all the time.

Theater in the Vineyard
Wine, cheese and theater in the beautiful outdoors, what a perfect way to spend an evening! Please join us for "Art" - a one act play starring our very own wine club manager - Graham Drake-Maurer! When wanna-be art connoisseur Serge buys a white painting with white lines, his best friend Marc is skeptical that anyone would spend money on such a piece. Bitingly perspective, and darkly humorous, "Art" invites the audience to explore their own concept of what they perceive as art, as Serge and Marc battle it out. PG-13, some strong language.

August 24th: doors open at 6:30, curtain at 7:30

No ticket necessary, suggested donation $7

Wine by the glass, cheese and charcuterie available for sale.

We'd love to see you there!

G is for Geocaching...and David Girard Vineyards

Yep, they really do go together....as one of my passions is geocaching and the other is wine, I have been guilty of mixing the two at this winery....yes there is a cache there, but the real find is the wine.

Our favorite is the
2006 COEUR ROUGE
El Dorado-Estate Vineyard

This blend creates an elegant impression of fruit. A very lush and velvety mouthfeel seamlessly delivers big fruit. Framed by granitic tannis that expand with a never ending finish. Over time this wine expresess many nuances of spice and meat. Aged in 2 & 3 year old French oak for 18 months.

Enjoy the wine tasting year round at David Girard Vineyards

11:00am - 5:00pm Open daily!
